Compliance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to support the company’s regulatory framework, internal controls and day-to-day compliance obligations in the UAE.

The role will work closely with senior management and operational teams to maintain policies, conduct reviews, support KYC/AML requirements and ensure that business activities align with applicable laws and internal standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures and registers;
• Conduct KYC, customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence where required;
• Support AML monitoring, sanctions screening and escalation processes;
• Track relevant regulatory developments and assess business impact;
• Prepare compliance reports and documentation for management and regulators where applicable;
• Conduct internal reviews, risk assessments and compliance checks;
• Support staff training and awareness on compliance obligations;
• Maintain accurate records of approvals, incidents, conflicts and required filings;
• Work with external advisers, auditors and regulators as needed;
• Escalate identified risks and support timely remediation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of compliance, AML, risk or regulatory experience in the UAE;
• Strong knowledge of KYC, AML, sanctions and compliance-control principles;
• Experience in a regulated or compliance-sensitive business environment;
• Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical processes;
• Strong attention to detail, documentation and confidentiality;
• Clear written and verbal communication skills;
• Relevant compliance qualification such as ICA, ACAMS or equivalent is an advantage;
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
