Head of People

About the role

A fast-growing e-commerce business is looking for a Head of People to build a scalable people function aligned with ambitious growth plans.

The role will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team across organization design, talent acquisition, performance, culture, compensation, employee experience and HR operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s people strategy in line with business goals;
• Advise the CEO and leadership team on organization design, workforce planning and people decisions;
• Build scalable recruitment, onboarding and performance-management processes;
• Develop compensation, benefits and reward frameworks;
• Lead employee engagement, culture and leadership-development initiatives;
• Oversee HR operations, policies, employee relations and compliance;
• Implement people analytics and leadership reporting;
• Develop succession planning and high-potential talent programs;
• Coach managers and strengthen people-management capability across the business;Build and lead the People/HR team as the organization grows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience with meaningful leadership responsibility;
• Experience in e-commerce, technology, digital, retail or another high-growth environment;
• Strong strategic capability combined with willingness to remain hands-on;Proven experience scaling HR processes and supporting organizational growth;
• Strong knowledge of UAE employment practices and HR operations;
• Commercial mindset and confidence partnering with founders and senior executives;
• Strong capability in organization design, talent, performance and culture;
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder-management skills.
