About the role
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a mid-sized technology company in Abu Dhabi and take over the management of an ongoing, business-critical IT project.
The role focuses on quickly getting up to speed with the current project status, stabilising delivery and leading it through to successful launch. You will coordinate development, QA, infrastructure and business teams, manage timelines, budgets and risks, and ensure that the solution is delivered to the agreed scope and quality. This is an opportunity to step into a project already in motion and make a visible impact from the first weeks.
Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day delivery across development, QA, DevOps and infrastructure teams, ensuring sprints and milestones are met;
- Coordinate internal teams, external vendors and integration partners, setting clear priorities and responsibilities;
- Act as the main point of contact for senior management, product owners and business stakeholders, providing regular progress reports;
- Translate business requirements into clear deliverables in collaboration with business analysts and technical leads;
- Identify technical and delivery risks, dependencies and blockers early and implement effective mitigation plans;
- Control project budget, resources and change requests to keep delivery within agreed parameters;
- Oversee testing, UAT, release planning and go-live, ensuring a smooth handover to support and operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally in software development, system implementation or digital transformation projects;
- Proven experience taking over and successfully delivering IT projects already in progress;
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum as well as Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches;
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, integrations, cloud and infrastructure environments;
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including with senior leadership and technical teams;
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project or similar;
- PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP or Scrum certification is an advantage;
- UAE experience is highly desirable; strong English is required, Arabic is an advantage.
